To Our Church Family:
After much thought and prayer, the Board of Elders feels that it must be stressed that all people that have been outside NS should quarantine themselves for 2 weeks as per Health Canada suggestion. Even as we do not have the virus in Nova Scotia yet, it could happen very quickly. The announcement by the Premier this morning to ban all gatherings of 150 people or more confirms to us the severity of it. Many churches must close their doors as well, and in fact some have made that announcement already. There are many people that are not taking this seriously, for example in Switzerland. a couple of weeks ago they had 50 cases of the corona virus, today they have 1137 cases and 9 deaths. They are closing all their schools now as It can spread so quickly. We have decided to cancel all services (March 15th and 22nd ) and activities at CBC for the next 2 Sundays as a precaution. This includes the Women Together. Isolation is the best way to beat this as proven in China. This is a drastic measure and none of us like it. This is an unprecedented time in our history. Please pray for the world around us and for the Lords protection from this terrible virus. In Christ and for His sake The Elders of CBC
Community Bible Chapel has services every Sunday at 10am, with nursery and Sunday School for children up to eight year’s old. We believe in loving God and loving people. We believe this is the greatest commandment:
Matthew 22:36-40 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
We also have weekly bible studies and home groups, and monthly events related to men’s and women’s ministry.
Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
